Wrestle for Good is all about GREAT WRESTLING for GREAT CAUSES.


Our mission is to provide the best instruction available to young wrestlers, financially support our nationís top international wrestlers, and help those in need through charitable giving.

Brett Pfarr

Brett is a four-time letter winner and two-time All-American at the University of Minnesota. Brett reached the Big Ten finals at 184 pounds and advanced to his first NCAA championship tournament as a red shirt sophomore. The following year, Pfarr bumped to 197 and became one of the best wrestlers in the nation, finishing third in the country with a record of 40-4. He was the first Gopher in almost a decade to win 40 matches in a season and had more major decisions in one year than any Gopher in the past 20 years (18). As a senior, Pfarr not only reached the Big Ten finals for the second time in his career, he also advanced to the NCAA finals. During his two seasons at 197 pounds, Pfarr went 71-7, including 30-0 in duals, 18-0 in the Big Ten, and 28-7 against ranked opponents (with all seven losses coming to wrestlers ranked among the nation's top four). His 120 career wins are 16th-best in program history, and his .845 winning percentage is tied for 14th-best. Brett is a four-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and a CoSIDA Academic All-American with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Food Business Management. Brett is currently living in Minneapolis and training freestyle at 86 kg with the Gopher Wrestling Club/Minnesota Storm. He is applying his passion for wrestling, interpersonal skills, and entrepreneurial spirit as co-founder and moderator of Wrestle For Good. Brett coaches with multiple wrestling clubs and youth organizations across Minnesota and stays involved with the family farm in Southern Minnesota. Brett enjoys hunting, fishing, traveling, and live music when he is not training or working.

Brendan Lutz

Brendan wrestled in New Jersey for Pascack Hills Junior and Senior High School from 1985 through 1992 and went on to complete a degree in economics from American University, Washington, D.C. Brendan worked as a Digital Marketing Lead for Loreal Cosmetics before founding Monarch Optimizing, a Digital Marketing Company. His strengths are information technology, digital marketing, brand management, and website building and he brings his expertise to Wrestle For Good as co-founder. Brendan has also been involved since 2012 with club and High School wrestling but has never stopped sharing his passion for the sport since his competition years. Heís been active with Kinnelon Wrestling Team, Olympic Wrestling Club, Marvin Wrestling Team, and Charlotte School of Wrestling. He currently resides in Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife, two kids, and dog.

When Brendan isnít working or coaching, he enjoys time with his family, doing charitable work, and is passionate about animal rescue.
